The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that all conditions set out in the international labor laws, the migration protocols, and other Nigerian laws must be met before issuing licenses for the recruitment of persons in and out of the country.

The Minister of State on Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN) stated this in Calabar at a one day Migration Summit organized by the Cross River State Government.

Keyamo who informed the audience that immigration matters is strictly under the Federal Exclusive list said any agency of government willing to embark on such recruitment activities must follow the laid down rules of engagement.

Representative of NAPTIP DG, Godwin Eyake, also advised the Cross River State Government not to allow the program to be hijacked, a situation he said can embarrass it and Federal Government.
