Nigerian Army to strengthen personnel capacity through combat arms training

The Nigeria Army has reiterated its commitment to engage its personnel on capacity building and combat arms training, for effective operations, both within and outside the country.

This was disclosed by the Chief of Army Staff, during the commencement of the 2021 Combat Arms Week Training, that is currently taking place in Bauchi State.

As part of activities to mark the week long event, a capacity building training was oganised for officers and men of the Nigeria Army, aimed at strengthening the personnel’s capacity, towards confronting the security challenges, affecting the economic growth and development of the nation.

Declaring the workshop open, Bauchi State governor, represented by his Security Adviser, Retired Brigadier General Markus Yake, commended the Chief Of Army Staff, for repositioning the army to professionally deal with all forms of threats in Nigeria, noting that such programmes will help the Nigerian Army, develop strategies, as well as correct the deficiencies observed.

In his welcome address, the Commander, Nigeria Army, Armoured Corps, Major General Magaji Mohammed, enjoined the participants to effectively use what they have learned for societal growth and development
