The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said that, about one thousand three hundred and forty-nine convertable polling units have been proposed across Bauchi State.
The proposed additional polling units, according to the Resident Commissioner, Ibrahim Abdullahi, is to enhance efficiency in Elections management, by decongestion and improving on voters’ apathy, in the future elections.
This was revealed at the gathering of key stakeholders from different political parties, security agencies, civil society organisations, and traditional rulers, on the invitation of the commission, to brief them on the activities of the commission.
The stakeholders raised issues, which they said, needed urgent attention, if the commission wants to achieve the desired results.
