Zamfara State Police Command now has a new commissioner.
He is CP Hussain Rabiu.
He took over from Abutu Yaro, who has been redeployed to the Imo State.
A statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu said, the new Commissioner Of Police assumed duty on the 6th of May.
He is the 30th Commissioner Zamfara State Police Command has had.
CP Hussain Rabiu has served at various Police Divisions and Commands, including Imo State, where he served as Deputy Commissioner Of Police, in charge of Operations.

He was promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police, CP and posted to Force Headquarters, Abuja, to serve as CP Explosive Ordinance Department, EOD.
While addressing the officers and men of the Zamfara State Police Command, CP Hussain Rabiu, reiterated his determination and commitment to enhance robust policing, to actualize the transformation and repositioning agenda of the Acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Baba.
He pledged to work in collaboration with other security agencies, and the host communities, to achieve the community policing concept of the Nigeria Police Force.
The new Zamfara CP, sought cooperation, collaboration and partnership from members of the public, to give useful and timely information, to enable the police rid the state of all forms of criminality.
