The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has deployed 2,100 personnel across Plateau State ahead of the Eid-El Fitr celebrations, to protect residents and critical national assets.
The Command equally said it will enforce the Covid-19 restrictions announced by the Federal Government on Monday in other to protect the lives of citizens in the State.
Plateau State Commandant of the Corps, Stephen Jiyason, made this known in a statement signed by the Command’s spokesperson, Tanimola Obasa, and made available to newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State Capital on Tuesday.

While wishing all Muslim faithful a rewarding and peaceful Eid-El Fitr celebration, the Command advises all citizens to be law abiding and avoid any act of breaking the law and order as perpetrators would be brought to book.
The statement also assured the general public that the Corps and other security agencies have put in place all necessary strategies to ensure a peaceful celebration and also call on citizens to report all suspected movement by individuals or groups threatening to cause confusion to the appropriate quarters.
