As part of measures to step up the fight against insurgency and banditry, the Nigerian Airforce has inducted 3 additional thunder multi-role aircraft into its inventory.
Minister of Defence, Major-General Bashir Magashi (Rtd) who represented President Muhammadu Buhari performed the induction at the NAF Base Tactical Air Command in Makurdi, Benue State.
At 57, the country’s Airforce has deliberately chosen to boost its air power capability for effective joint operations in response to contemporary national security challenges.
To attain this new set of objectives, it recently acquired 3 JF multi-role thunder aircraft to add impetus to the ongoing fight against insurgency, banditry and other forms of criminality.

Since its establishment in 1964, the Nigerian Airforce has been playing a critical role in national security as well as peace keeping operations in the entire African continent.
The induction of the 3 new fighter aircraft will no doubt boost the capacity of the Air Force.
