The Nigeria Police says any criminal hideout in all the six states of the South South Region will be smoked out in a matter of days, starting from Cross River.
The theatre commander of newly inaugurated “Operation Restore peace”, Deputy Inspector General of Police Moses Jitoboh gave the assurance when he led the management of the command on a courtesy visit to Governor Ben Ayade in his office.

Jitoboh who requested for collaboration between his new office and Cross River State Government,said the morale of officers and men under this command are high to enable them flush out criminals.
On his part,Governor Ayade promised Cross River State Government’s total commitment to securing the lives and property of the citizens.
The Governor expressed high hopes in the capacity of the tactical team under Jitoboh led operation in restoring peace.
The acting Inspector General of Police had set up Operation Restore Peace to provide security to the people of the south south and the south east region of the country.
