Normalcy has returned in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State after the town was thrown into panic Tuesday, following an explosion that killed a man in the area.
AIT gathered that the incident which took place within the Amaizu Amangbala Primary School in Afikpo at about noon, saw passersby scampering for safety, calling it a suicide bombing.
But when AIT visited the incident scene, the body of the man has been evacuated, as the spot looked intact contrary to what a fallout of a bomblast should be.
Residents of the area were seen going about their normal businesses hours after the incident occurred.

A rice farmer, Janeth Nkamah, who said she witnessed the incident gave account of what happened.
Confirming the incident, the Police Command spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah, said the man who was killed in the explosion was not a suicide bomber but an Inspector attached to Mopol 32, Abakaliki who was on a special duty in Afikpo.
The incident is coming at a time when the state is battling with deteriorating security situation.
