Governor Emmanuel said the decision to build a teaching hospital was borne out of the need to expand the scope of tertiary health care after providing a number of primary health care facilities across the state.
Apart from the 600 million naira donation by Governor Wike, N2.5b was donated by the ASR Africa Initiative and 100 million naira by a businessman.
