The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, has suspended the operating licence of Human Rights Radio, Abuja for one month over the assault of a guest on the programme by its owner and programme presenter, Ahmed Isah.
The suspension takes effect from May 31, 2021.

A statement issued by the Commission on Thursday in Abuja said the Human Right Radio must pay a recommencement fee before its licence will be restored.
It also demanded that the station must put its house in order and purges itself of unprofessional conduct.
Ahmed Isah, host of a very popular radio show that highlights human rights abuses was seen on camera assaulting a woman invited to participate in the programme.
He had since apologised for his conduct.
