Members of the Nigerian Senate took time to observe at least seven minutes of silence for the repose of the souls of Nigerians killed in various attacks in the last few days across the country.
The first minute of silence was for a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Gulak who was gruesomely murdered on over the weekend in Owerri, the Imo State Capital.

The next ritual was for late Chief of Army Staff Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, who perished along with 10 others in an air force plane crash last May Moments later, the Senate observed yet another round of minute silence.
This time for victims of bandit attacks on villages in Niger state, The Senate also took time to mourn victims of gas explosions in a construction company in Onikoko, Abeokuta, Ogun State and barely 24 hours after another explosion in Panseke.
The Senate also commiserated with the people and government of Kebbi state over the loss of victims of boat mishap, Disturbed about the list of minute of silence, the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan assured Nigerians that the Senate will come up with legislative intervention to reduce the insecurity in the country.
