The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has expressed his purpose in Nigeria as, uplifting the spirits of the Wounded in Action, who have made significant sacrifices, to defend the nation’s sovereignty.
He reiterated this sentiment while meeting with Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, at the Government House.
It marks the inaugural trip of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Nigeria, where they were treated to a vibrant cultural dance performance, celebrating the country’s rich heritage.
Prince Harry said that the primary objective of his visit is to offer support and encouragement to the wounded in action, acknowledging their vital role in safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty.

Governor Uba Sani expressed gratitude to Prince Harry, for his solidarity with the Nigerian Armed Forces, affirming his government’s commitment to collaborating with the military, to address insecurity.
The Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, hailed Meghan’s visit as a morale booster for the troops.
Their gesture of solidarity not only uplifts the spirits of those who have endured the hardships of conflict, but also highlights the importance of recognising and honouring the contributions of servicemen and women.
