Electricity consumers in Abuja and its environs connected to the national grid have been told to expect load shedding or no supply at all after power generation dropped to 2,805.01 megawatts from 3,135.25megawatts.
One of the managers of the eleven Distribution companies in the Federal capital in charge of communications, Bode Fadipe said the allocation for its company that supplies the Federal Capital Territory, Kogi, Niger, and Nasarawa state is now 360.55MW.

As at 19:53hrs, generation came down to 2,805.01MW, which is about a 10.5% drop with the company’s allocation reduced to 50% of its requirement.
He warned that as homes and offices begin to wake up to their chores for the day, the demand for electricity will increase and where the grid cannot cope, there will be load shedding.
Power supply has been epileptic across the country with customers complaining of paying for what they do not consume.
