Governor Ayade made this known during the inauguration of the state government’s widows initiative across the three senatorial districts of the State.
Represented by his Commissioner for Humanity and Social Welfare, Blessing Egbara, the governor said the empowerment which will be a continuous exercise, should be taken seriously while an immediate token sum of money will be provided for their upkeep.
He urged the widows to take advantage of both the federal and state government social safety net programmes which he said are aimed at reducing their burdens.
