Bauchi State Governor dissolves State Executive Council, retains some political appointees

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved with immediate effect, the dissolution of the State Executive Council and political appointees.

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the Special Adviser Security, Special Adviser National and State Assembly Liaison, Special Adviser Media, and Publicity were exempted from the dissolution.

According to the statement, all commissioners are to hand over the affairs of the ministry to their respective permanent secretaries, while the Chief of Staff Government House, Secretary to the State Government House are directed to hand to the most senior permanent secretaries.
