The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, says it remains committed to its role in providing adequate security for students in all schools in the country.
The Commandant General of the Corps Ahmed Audi gave the commitment in Abuja at a parade and simulation exercise of the newly established all-female squad.
Audi said the female Civil Defence corps members are clear on their brief and will work with their male counterparts to achieve the corps objectives especially as it pertains to keeping schools safe members of the new squad pledged their commitment to the safe school initiative.

The women, who recently concluded their training will be deployed to various commands with a focus on keeping schools safe.
The event coincided with the marking of the commandant general’s one hundredth day in office.
