President Muhammadu Buhari has dismissed accusations of double standards in the way he treats secessionists in the south versus bandits and insurgents in the north, saying that those who hold such views are unfair to him.
The President while answering questions in an interview with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) aired on Friday night, said those who make the allegations have not bothered to find out what has been done in states affected by banditry.
He said: “They are being unfair. They should go and ask the governors of Sokoto, Zamfara and Katsina and find out how we have been deploying the police and the military to deal with the bandits.
