Despite the Federal Government’s decision to have the June 12 Democracy Day marked on Monday, some activists and other Nigerians gathered at the Gani Fawehinmi freedom park to protest bad governance.

Combat ready policemen were seen trying to maintain peace as some of the protestors defied the heavy security presence which led to the use of teargas to disperse them.
