More than twenty-four hours after the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Anambra State ended polls in the Ward Congresses to elect the delegates that will participate in the June 26 primary election, the electoral committee headed by Taraba State Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu is yet to collate the results from the Local Government returning officers.
After hours of closed door meetings on Saturday with all the PDP governorship aspirants at the State Party Secretariat in Awka, the Chairman of the Congresses Committee and his team stormed out of the premises without a word.

Some of the PDP stewards who spoke to ait.live, frowned at the situation, urging the National leadership of the Party to stop members of the Ward Congresses electoral committee from derailing the good work done so far in unifying the Party for election victory, saying this is the first time the Anambra State chapter of the PDP is getting things right.
On Friday, PDP members turned out in their numbers at the Ward level to elect delegates, as a major step towards electing the Party’s flag bearer on the 26th of June, ahead of the November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra State.
