The government of Bayelsa State says daily commercial flights are to commence at its international airport next month.
Governor Douye Diri made the announcement during the state’s executive council meeting, shortly after signing the Memorandum of Understanding with an indigenous airline company this Wednesday in Yenagoa.

The operating license was granted a month ago and Governor Douye Diri is elated, that the vision of opening up Bayelsa to the world through the aviation sector, has finally been realised.
The Governor is also hopeful that the successes to be recorded through the partnership, will give birth to the state owned airlines.

The daily flight activities are expected to ply between Bayelsa, Lagos, and Abuja.
