The Nigerian Airforce has said it will receive new hardware next month to complement existing ones and intensify the fight against insecurity.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Isiaka Amao revealed this during a visit to Governor Douye Diri in Yenagoa, just as the Governor advised on ways to restore peace in the country; stressing that the task of keeping Nigeria safe is the responsibility of everyone.
It is the first scheduled visit to Bayelsa State.

Commending the Bayelsa State government for the sustained peace in state, the Chief of Air Staff said the Federal Government is determined to curb the menace of insecurity.
Governor Douye Diri harped on the need to improve civilians- military relationship, calling on political leaders to rally against insecurity in the country.
In a related development, the Governor received the new commander, 16 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Azubike Awolo who has since assumed duty in the sustenance of peace and stability in the state.
