The Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed, has approved the release of one hundred million Naira to the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, as payment to enable Zamfara students to write their 2021 Examination.

A statement by his Press Secretary, Jamilu Iliyasu, said the down payment of the one hundred million Naira, is part of the settlement of the present administration’s obligation to WAEC, in favour of Zamfara State indigenes, for the 2021 Examinations.

The Governor expressed the appreciation of his administration to the Minister of Education and WAEC Secretariat, for their understanding and concern for
education in the state, despite the huge backlog owed WAEC by the state government, inherited from the past administration.
