Zamfara Politics: Fmr. Gov’ship Candidate Dumps APGA For APC

The former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2019 General Election in Zamfara State, Abdullahi Shinkafi, has dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The APGA chieftain, who is also the Secretary, Board of Trustees of the party, announced his defection, while addressing leaders and supporters of APGA in Zamfara State.

He told the members and supporters of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the state, that he defected to APC to join hands with Governor Bello Mohammed, to fight insecurity and poverty in the state, towards restoring peace and order.

Abdullahi Shinkafi noted that, he has been a member of APGA for the past 19 years, and he left the party not because he has been offended, but to contribute to the development of Zamfara State.

He thanked the governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, the National Chairman of APGA and members of the party, for the support and cooperation he enjoyed, while he served as the National Secretary of APGA, and the Secretary, Board of Trustees, until he defected to the APC.
