Two female students of the Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School, Tegina have escaped from their abductors.
The students aged eight and eleven, were reported to have reached Kagara town, Headquarters of Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State.

The Principal of the school, Garba Alhassan, while confirming the development, explained that the students are receiving attention at a medical facility.
He further explained that three staff of the school, had earlier escaped from their abductors.
On the issue of ransom payment, Garba Alhassan said already, parents have sought spiritual intervention, since they can not meet up with the payment of one hundred and fifty million Naira, as requested by the gunmen.
