Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has paid a visit to survivors of the Gezawa mosque fire incident where a 28-year-old man locked and set some worshippers ablaze during the early morning prayer last week, leaving 15 dead so far.
Governor Yusuf was away from the state attending some important meetings in Abuja when the ugly incident happened. On his return to Kano on Sunday night, he proceeded straight from the airport, to the Murtala Mohammed Hospital, while struggling to hold back his tears seeing the number of people badly affected in the fire incident.
The Governor was quick to clear the air concerning the insinuations surrounding their incident and vowed that the man behind the dastardly act would not go unpunished.
Yusuf has already ordered that the medical bills of the survivors be compiled and would be paid by the State Government, while sympathising with the families of those who lost loved ones.
