The Organized Labour in Niger State has issued the state government 14 days ultimatum to resolve the issues affecting the payment of the salary of Local Government Council workers.
The Organized Labour issued the ultimatum shortly after an emergency meeting of the State Administrative Council, at Labour House, Minna, the state capital.

According to a statement by the Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Niger State Council, Yakubu Garba, and his Trade Union Congress, TUC, counterpart, Ibrahim Gana, they called on Governor Abubakar Bello to intervene for an amicable resolution.
The nonpayment of full salaries of October 2020, April, and May 2021, are some of the major contending issues raised by the NLC.
