An Estimated Value of N309 billion Naira has been injected into the Nigerian economy for the strengthening of Agriculture Mechanization, seeds and inputs distribution to farmers, Farm Pest and Disease control, as well as livestock production and animal health management.
Minister of Agriculture and food security, Abubakar Kyari, said this during the ministerial update on his achievements to mark President Tinubu’s one year in office.
It was a ministerial session for detailed updates on plans, progress and achievements of the ministry of Agriculture and food security under Abubakar Kyari.

The minister was quick to mention the distribution of seeds and inputs to farmers as government’s response to cushion the current high cost of food stuffs in the country.
In 2023 when the federal government declared a state of emergency on food security, Abubakar Kyari had pledged, on assumption of office, to turn the situation around.
But how have government measures reflected on the current persistent concerns of Nigerians?
Minister of information, Mohammed Idris, pledged government’s willingness to be transparent and accountable to Nigerians
It is the hope of many Nigerians that the policies and measures of the Tinubu administration on sustainable food production will pave the way for affordable food prices.
