On Wednesday, May 29, President Bola Tinubu will deliver a significant address on the state of the nation at a joint session of the National Assembly, commemorating 25 years of unbroken democracy and legislative practice in Nigeria.
This milestone event will also feature the unveiling and commissioning of the new National Assembly Library complex, named the Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu Building.
The event will be attended by notable dignitaries, including- Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief of Staff to the President, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF)
Others are the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and the Clerk to the National Assembly.
The event will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the Green Chamber, House of Representatives Building, National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
Commemorative lectures on the theme; “25 Years of the National Assembly: Lessons & Opportunities” will be delivered by Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives and current Chief of Staff to President Tinubu.
Other keynote speakers are; Senator David Mark, President of the 6th & 7th Senate, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, GCFR, former Nigerian Military Head of State.
