The organised labour has delclared indefinite strike from midnight on Sunday June 2, 2024.
Labour says the Federal Government is adamant over reaching an agreement on a new minimum wage.
The Organised Labour, made up of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, also wants government to reverse immediately the hike in electricity tariff.
TUC President Festus Osifor says, workers will observe a strike from midnight of Sunday, June 2nd.
NLC President, Joe Ajaero says the strike will remain even if government invites them to continue talks.
After several meetings, the federal government proposed N60,000, while Organised labour pushed for N494, 000.
At the moment, neither the Organised private sector nor the federal government has reacted to the indefinite strike by organised labour.
