Wike-Fubara Feud: Rivers Ijaw Peoples Congress Meet Ijaw Youths Council In Yenagoa

Leaders of the Ijaw ethnic nationality are uniting to find lasting peace in the crisis rocking Rivers State.

Rising from another meeting initiated by the Rivers Ijaw Peoples Congress with the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC at Ijaw House Headquarters in Yenagoa, both sides reaffirmed the unwavering love and support the former Rivers State governor and current minister of the federal capital territory FCT, Nyesom Wike has for Ijaw people, and re-choed the need to engineer lasting peace between him and governor Siminalaye Fubara.

Following an earlier meeting of the Rivers Ijaw Peoples Congress with the leadership of the Ijaw National Congress, INC, the high powered delegation met with that of the Ijaw Youths Council, IYC, at the Ijaw House Headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The meeting was part of continued efforts to find peace between former Rivers State Governor and current minister of the federal capital territory, Nyesom Wike and governor Siminalaye Fubara.

They urged the Ijaw Youths Council to dismiss any notions that Nyesom Wike does not advocate for the interests of the Ijaw people.

President of the Ijaw apex Youths body, Jonathan Lokpobiri reiterated the IYC’s dedication to participating in further discussions aimed at achieving lasting peace in Rivers State.

The Rivers Ijaw Peoples Congress who are firm believers and supporters of Nyesom Wike’s development ideologies reaffirmed that the FCT minister is an adopted son of Ijaw and has continued to project its development.
