The Troika of the United States, United Kingdom, and Norway have commended the commitment of the South Sudanese people, many of whom are working together, to build a brighter future, as the country celebrates its 10 years of Independence, July 9, 2021.
The Troika are however worried that the promise of peace and prosperity that independence represents, has remained unfulfilled in South Sudan.
They, therefore, said they are standing with the people of Sudan and South Sudan, through decades of struggle, even as they join to celebrate and grieve for those who have suffered and lost loved ones.

They welcomed the progress that has been made, but urged the signatories, to accept accountability for their commitments and go much further, much faster.
The Troika affirmed their readiness to work closely with the transitional government, to implement fully, the revitalized peace agreement.
