Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal has again said he will not negotiate with bandits terrorising the state but rather declare an all-out war against them.
The governor restated this position during the “Walk for Peace,” where he, his wife and top government officials walked from the Government House to Freedom Square in Gusau, the state capital, to mark Democracy Day.
The Walk for Peace started from the Government House in Gusau to the former Bello Barau Roundabout, which the governor had recently renamed Freedom Square.
While ruling out negotiations with criminals Governor Lawal said his administration will do everything possible to restore peace, stability and order in the state.

The Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, Chief of Staff, Government House, Mouktar Lugga and the Political Adviser to thr Governor, Yahaya Yari, lauded Governor Dauda Lawal’s numerous achievements during his one year in office.
They called for support for Governor Lawal and his administration to ensure the state stays on the path of positive development
Governor Dauda Lawal in his message also pledged to continue to improve the standards of education and infrastructure, and empower the youth to become useful to themselves and society.
