Bandits have abducted the Emir of Kajuru and 13 of his family members in the early hours of Sunday in Kajuru town, headquarters of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria.
The 85-year-old second-class traditional ruler was abducted along with 3 women, 2 of his grandchildren, 3 of his aides, and 5 others.
One of the Emir’s cabinet members who pleaded for anonymity confirmed the attack.

ait. live gathered that barely 24 hours before the incident, the Emir summoned a security meeting to raise alarm about the plot to abduct him but unfortunately, the security agents did not act on the intelligence report.
The Kajuru Emirate is located about 30 minutes away from the Kaduna State capital.
