The Nigerian Army has assured continued support for all its training institutions to enhance the quality and operational efficiency of its personnel in defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, gave this assurance during the passing out parade of 5,937 recruits from the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria.

In a ceremony marked by pride, history, and a renewed sense of duty, 5,937 recruits passed out from the Nigerian Army Depot. Their arduous journey to become soldiers began on December 12, 2023.

The recruits’ passing out parade also marks the centenary celebration of the Nigerian Army Depot, symbolising the institution’s longstanding commitment to training of soldiers to meet the manpower requirements of the Nigerian Army.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, who is the Reviewing Officer, after inspecting the parade, in his address lauded the new soldiers for their determination and perseverance, acknowledging the sacrifices they made to defend the nation.

The Army Chief also emphasised the critical role the Nigerian Army Depot has played in the country’s defense strategy over the past 100 years.

Standing tall with pride, the 5,937 new soldiers, are now ready to take on their roles in defending Nigeria’s sovereignty.
