For the umpteenth time, Edo State Government has restated its determination not to allow any further attacks on the military working in collaboration with the State Government and other security agencies to secure lives and properties.
This was conveyed by Governor Godwin Obaseki when he received the General Officer Commanding 2 Division, of the Nigerian Army, Major General Obinna Onubogu, in Government house, Benin City, against the backdrop of the recent attack on soldiers in Okomu, Ovia South West Local Government Area.
Governor Obaseki says the state Government will ensure that the perpetrators will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
The GOC 2 Division, Major General Obi Onubogu says the military will continue to extend its hand of fellowship to the people.
He cautions against any form of violence against the Nigerian Army.
The GOC is in Benin for an inspection of his area of command.
