The remains of 14-year-old Keren Akpagher who was a student of Premier Academy Lugbe in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja have been laid to rest amidst tears and several unanswered questions at her country home in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, North-Central Nigeria.

Reports indicate that she had been sexually assaulted while in boarding school which got her infected and eventually led to her untimely death.

Family, associates as well as civil rights activists have continued to demand justice even as her body arrived her country home in Akpagher, Mbatiav for final internment.

Keren succumbed to death on the 22nd of June following reports of sexual abuse while in boarding school generating concern from not just family but civil society organisations demanding justice.
