Three federal roads in Abia State are undergoing massive repairs and maintenance through direct labour being carried out by the federal roads maintenance agency, FERMA.
The Engineer in charge of federal roads Maintenance in Abia State, Okafor Festus who led journalists on inspection tours of the roads appealed to the management of the agency to make more funds available for them to tackle all the challenges in Abia State especially on the failed portions of Umuahia-Bende-Road.
Okafor appealed to commuters using the roads to be more patient with the agency, assuring that all the federal roads in the state will receive adequate attention.
He said the repairs has become necessary to avoid more damages to the roads.
