Family members, friends and associates of the late Founder of DAAR Communications PLC, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi converged on the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Agenebode in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, South-South Nigeria for the first memorial mass and Thanksgiving service in his hometown.
Officiating priest, Reverend Father Martins Alokwe, speaking on the theme “High Chief Raymond Dokpesi lives on” urged the children and other family members to move on in unity and love as well as to sustain the good deeds of the late Ezomo of Weppa Uwanno Kingdom.

Thereafter, they proceeded to the residence of the late Ezomo of Weppa Uwanno for the unveiling of the mausoleum, by the Okugbe of Fugar clan, His Royal Majesty, Emmanuel Ogah.
Guests and community members were treated to entertainment with some delicacies while young singer, Bolivia and a local dance group kept the atmosphere electrified with some good music in Etsako dialect.
High Chief Dokpesi died on May 29, 2023, at the age of 71 and was buried on June 22 of the same year at his hometown Agenebode, in Edo state.
