Former Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello wants the Chief Judge of Federal High Court to transfer the N84 billion money laundering case against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to the state capital, Lokoja.
Meanwhile, the prosecution counsel at Thursday’s proceeding moved an oral application for Bello’s counsel, Adeola Adedipe, SAN to face contempt for refusing to produce the defendant in court after making an undertaken to do so, at the last adjourned date.

Adedipe however told the court of his intention to withdraw from the matter, siting section 349 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015 on non-appearance and non-representation of legal practitioner.
