Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has unveiled several key projects in Calabar as part of his administration’s broader strategy to enhance development and economic growth in the State.

One of the flagship projects commissioned was the first phase of the 7.5 kilometer Parliamentary Extension Road which has been expanded from 7 meters to 12.3 meters in width, a significant upgrade aimed at improving transportation and connectivity.

Speaking during the commissioning of the road project, Governor Otu emphasized that his administration was dedicated to completing projects, and ending the era of abandonment.

Governor Otu accompanied by his deputy, Peter Odey and other members of his cabinet also commissioned the Esuk Utan NNPC Tank Farm Road.

In line with his ‘People First’ mantra and concern for the well-being of citizens, the governor launched the ‘Sweet Prince Palliative Health Programme’, specifically targeting pregnant women, children under five years old, and the elderly of over 70 years in the state.

Additionally, Governor Bassey Otu commissioned the State Essential Drugs Warehouse, which had been vandalized and destroyed during the End SARS protests.
