Electronic Verification Exercise for military retirees will officially commence for a period of three months from July 1 to September 30, 2024.
Addressing Newsmen in Abuja, the chairman of the military pension board, vice Admiral Paul irumheson said the exercise will replace the traditional physical verification process for veterans to access their pensions

He added that the introduction of the electronic system is a response to retiree’s complaints about the awkwardness of the process which is challenging due to their advance Age, high cost of transportation, security risks among others
The Board added that it will carry out sufficient public awareness and education that will assist retired pensioners on how to go about the verification Exercise.
The Board also adviced all pensioners to take active part in the exercise as those who fail to take part in the Verification Exercise will not get their pensions going forward.
