Suspected cultists who beheaded an Inspector of Police in Akwa Ibom State have been apprehended.
They were paraded along with suspected kidnappers who allegedly posed as EFCC officials, as well as other suspects for various crimes.
A few weeks ago, news of the gruesome murder of an Inspector of Police in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, sent chills down the spines of residents of the city, in an attack described as barbaric.
But on Tuesday, the State Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara told the Media that the suspects linked to the murder of the cop were in Police net.
Also, suspected kidnappers who posed as EFCC officials were nabbed, as well as a child stealing syndicate and other suspected criminals.
The Commissioner of Police assured that the State Police command was battle ready to run criminals out of town.
