The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Kaduna State branch is appealing to the Kaduna State government to assist in securing the release of three children of Judge Janet Galadima of the Customary Court, Sabo.
The chairman of the branch, Barrister Godwin Ochai, addressed a news conference in Kaduna, revealing that Judge Galadima and her four children were kidnapped on June 23, 2024, at their residence in the Mahuta New Extension area of Kaduna State.
Although Judge Galadima has since regained her freedom, the bandits are demanding a ransom of 150 million Naira for the release of three of her children. Tragically, the eldest son, who was about 14 years old, was killed by the kidnappers on July 2, 2024.
The NBA has condemned this heinous act and is urgently appealing to the government for assistance in securing the release of the remaining three children.
The NBA Chairman expressed deep concern over the alarming frequency of kidnappings in Kaduna, emphasizing that it is a crisis that requires immediate and determined action from the Kaduna State government.
