South Korea willing to invest in Cross River

The South Korean government has expressed its willingness to invest in Cross River State.

South Korean Ambassador, Kim Young-Chae gave the indication in Abuja during a meeting with Governor Ben Ayade.

Ambassador Young-Chae who explained that big corporations in South Korea were set to do business in Cross River if encouraged, solicited close ties with the state to attract foreign investment from South Korea.

He said Korean businessmen find Cross River State attractive for business.

Governor Ben Ayade told the envoy that Cross River was open to partnerships geared towards developing the state, saying Koreans are responsible people with altruistic business culture.

Governor Ayade said Cross River was willing to partner Korean government to attract foreign direct investments to the state to boost economic development through the provision of critical infrastructures.

He listed mini-hydro solar energy, mini-dams, irrigation, and agriculture, and road infrastructure as areas of interest for the state while urging the Korean government to also fund other focal projects in the state through its Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation Trust Fund.
