Police arrest man with human body parts in Abuja

Suspect arrested with human body parts in his bag

Operatives of the FCT Police Command have trailed and arrested one Nuhu Ezra of Gosa Kipikipi village in Lugbe District of Federal Capital Territory Abuja with a human skull and bones.

In a statement signed by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, the suspect was arrested by police operatives attached to Iddo Police Division acting on credible intelligence,

The statement said the suspect, who was found with the body parts upon interrogation, stated that he picked the human body parts from the bush while hunting at Kuje and had the intention to sell them for N600,000.

The statement said that the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, has ordered a thorough investigation to ascertain the bearer of those body parts and the intended buyer. The investigation will also include wether or not the suspect killed anyone to be in possession of the body parts, and how long the suspect has been in the alleged business.

The Commissioner also urges residents to be conscious of the activities around their environment and report suspicious movement to the relevant authorities.
