Bauchi PDP Holds Stakeholders Meeting Ahead Congress, Council Elections

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has called for the full participation of youths and women in the various elective positions, ahead of the forthcoming Peoples Democratic Party congresses, and Local Government Council Elections in Bauchi State.

The governor made the call when he chaired the party’s stakeholders meeting at the Government House in Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria.

As part of preparations to meet the deadline for the conduct of both the State PDP Congresses and Local Government Council Elections in Bauchi State, the ruling party, PDP in Bauchi State, and Governor Bala Mohammed, the leader of the party in the state, met with all the relevant stakeholders, to discuss and put in place, strategies for the overall success, of the two major exercises.

Addressing journalists shortly after the meeting which lasted several hours, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, said the meeting was fruitful, as the party closed ranks to forge ahead.

He emphasised the need to allow youths and women to participate in the exercise, due to their population, and capacity to lead.

On the issue of the forthcoming local government council elections, State PDP Chairman, Hamza Akuyam and other party stalwarts, assured the people of their readiness, to ensure victory at the elections and the continued success of the party.

Recall that the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission, (BASIEC), has fixed August 17, 2024, as the date for the conduct of the Local Council Elections.
