The special presidential envoy on Climate Action Ajuri Ngelale says Nigeria is recording significant progress on climate action.
The team met with Secretary-General of the Riyadh-based International Energy Forum (IEF), Joseph McMonigle to explore new collaboration concerning Nigeria’s newly accelerated drive for blue hydrogen investment and development.

The envoy also held talks with leadership of development bank of Nigeria (DBN).
DBN is the first Nigerian financial institution to be accredited by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), which is expected to open new vista of climate financing for important projects nationwide.

Talks were also held with the Country Director of the French Development Agency (AFD), Xavier Muron and his team, alongside the NCCC leadership, the Canada-based Alberta Carbon Market Collaboration and another meeting with lead climate negotiators representing 119 other countries in a UNFCCC virtual meeting on the just transition.

Talks centered majorly on advancing priority areas of President Tinubu’s administration within the country green industrial growth acceleration programme.
