The National association of Nigerian students NANS has pulled out of the planned national protest scheduled for August 1.
The national Senate president of the students union Akinteye Babatunde while addressing journalists in Ibadan said protests are of a deep concern due to the possibility of escalating to violence, disrupting national peace and stability, endangering lives and leading to Wanton destruction of lives and property
He said the protest lacks clear leadership and specific demands and poses a significant threat to national unity if citizens fail to embrace caution in handling these issues.
