Commissioner of Police Kaduna state, Ali Dabigi

The Kaduna State Police Command says no group or individual has informed it of any planned protest, either by written or verbal communication.

Ali Dabigi, the state’s Commissioner of Police, said this at a stakeholder engagement, in light of the planned nationwide protest.

The dialogue organised by the Kaduna State Government, provided a platform to address fundamental issues surrounding the planned nationwide protest.

Present at the meeting were representatives from security agencies, traditional and religious leaders, trade and student unions, persons with disabilities and women leaders among others.

Discussions focused on the planned nationwide protest and its consequences for national security and development.

Kaduna State Police Commissioner, CP Ali Dabigi, highlighted procedures for any protests, noting that his office has yet to receive notice of protest from any group or individual.

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, explained that most of the crises in the state over the past 50 years, have resulted from protests.

He appealed to youths to refrain from actions that could destabilise the state.

The Kaduna State government also stressed the importance of dialogue and cooperation, to ensure the safety and stability of the state, and the country in general.
