Few persons turned out for the national protest against bad governance and hardsh, in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on Thursday as security operatives took over major parts of the metropolis.
The few numbers led by one Buhari Olarewju who came out for the protest later gave reasons behind the low participation of citizens, which they blamed on panic and fears already instilled in the minds of residents by the authorities.

Olarewaju who further noted that the new Minimum wage is unacceptable, called on government to quickly address the security challenges in the country.

The heavy presence of security operatives remained visible within and around strategic locations in the Ilorin city, including areas like the Post Office, CBN building, Government House on Ahmadu Bello Way, among others.
